Cut Holes In Gutters

Once you cut the patch it may have sharp corners and edges.

Cut holes in gutters.

Step 2 drill four holes in each corner of the outline you made of the sleeve drill one hole. This one came with holes in it for rivets. Here you can see the shape of the downspout flange i had. Cut the gutter from the bottom with a fine toothed hacksaw.

Then i used a fine tooth metal cutting blade in my jig saw. If the patch isn t already small enough to lay flat against the inside of the gutter and over the hole cut it down to size with your metal snips. Step 1 is to draw the shape of the hole and drill s few holes around that shape. On the bottom of the gutter itself take a pencil or marker and trace the outline of a sleeve.

This is the thing that connects the gutter and downspout together so it is important that it is placed correctly and securely.
